In the weeks ahead, we will hear from quotes and anecdotes from various sorts of people, and we will notice that a peculiar double-standard applies to statements made by conservative folks vs. liberals.  More often than not, liberals get a pass or quick forgiveness for insensitive statements: conservatives do not.

Context, body language, the particular audience, all of this and more can play into the real meaning of a statement.  But the liberal media will  “spin” comments in any way they can to bolster their agenda.
